Day 11 – A Game That Got You Through A Tough Time
I’ve talked about this a bit before, but The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion got me through some tough times. When I bought the game, I wasn’t feeling like I particularly belonged anywhere. I was an undergraduate student then and was struggling with some of my classes. My grandmother also passed away that fall—her death hit me especially hard. Being able to step into a fictional world as developed as Oblivion‘s provided a necessary escape and distraction. The game offered me an avenue to reinvent myself in a world absorbed with its own problems, and those problems could be solved. During that period of my life, that’s exactly what I needed.

I’m glad you found this game during such a difficult time. Video games have helped me escape a lot of difficult situations in my life. I’m grateful they are an awesome entertainment medium 😀
Thanks for the comment. It really is amazing what video games can offer.
I’ve really enjoyed your 30 Day Video game challenge. BTW I nominated you for an award. Check it out why don’t you. https://twotall4ufool.com/2018/04/29/mystery-blogger-award/
Thank you for reading and for the nomination! It might be awhile before I get to it. It’s nearly the end of the semester for me. 🙂
Hey whenever you can do it. No rush no pressure.
