In many ways, Snipperclips is a simple game, but it’s a gem. It tasks players with cutting out various shapes to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles, which can be done in single-player mode or co-op, and with up to four players. For half of February and most of March, I spent a lot of my time, when at home, monitoring one of my pets who developed a serious condition. Being holed up in the living room with my buddy lead to a fair bit of gaming on my PlayStation 4. That, in turn, lead me to think about my gaming history and my move from primarily gaming on a PC to the PS4.
After posting a picture of my newly acquired Switch last Friday, I essentially checked out of life over the weekend. I’m not sure how many hours I spent in Hyrule (is there really such a thing as too many hours spent with a Zelda game?), but the playtime lead me to some general observations about the console. While in Illinois this past weekend, I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with the PlayStation VR. I’m fortunate to have a good friend who is on the up when it comes to most things video games (I got my hands on the Switch too!). I’d like to share some thoughts from my experience with VR.
